How to check the driver and install it

Check if your computer has the necessary drivers installed and correctly configured. If not, download and install the appropriate drivers for your Longer device:

Follow the steps below to confirm whether the driver is successfully installed on your computer:

Check CH340 Driver

A.It's possible that a driver required for the connection is missing or incorrectly installed.

B.For macOS 10.15 or later, there is no need to install the CH340 driver.

C.Download the following driver installation package

After the installation is complete, check the COM port:

a . For Windows

1.Connect the machine to your computer using the USB cable that came with the product.

2. Download and install the CH340 driver (clickable). You may need to restart your computer during the installation process.

3.(1)Please follow the installation instructions to ensure the driver is installed successfully.

·(2)If an error message appears during installation, please contact Longer Technical Support.

4.Go to Device Manager to check whether the driver is installed successfully.

· ·Right-click on the desktop and select [Manage].

· ·Select [Device Manager], click [Ports], and check whether there is a COM port named CH340 (if it exists, it means your device has been successfully recognized by the computer).

b.For macOS

1. Connect the machine to your computer using the USB cable that came with the product.

2.Download and install the CH340 driver (clickable). You may need to restart your computer during the installation process.

· ·Please follow the installation instructions to ensure that the driver is installed successfully.

· If an error message appears during installation, please contact Longer Technical Support.

· Restart the computer, reference path: System Preferences -> Security and Privacy -> General -> Allow.

· Allow the CH340 driver to load. You may need to restart your computer during this process. Please follow the on-screen instructions.

· Reconnect your device and LaserBurn/Lightburn/LaserGRBL should now be able to find your device.

· If the Allow button isn’t working, read on to find a solution.

1. Open Terminal by following this path: Go to > Utilities > Terminal

2. Copy the following command and paste it into your terminal:
sudo kextload /Library/Extensions/usbserial.kext
 

1. Press Enter (if a password command appears, enter your computer user password and press Enter again)

2. After the command is executed successfully, the following display will appear in the terminal
