1. Apply colored paper or use a marker to color the area of the glass cup where you want to engrave.
2. Secure the glass cup on the rotary roller or chuck, and use a level to make it horizontal (refer to the instructions for using the chuck or roller for details).
3. Adjust the focus using the focusing tool.
1.
4. Open LightBurn and connect to the machine.
5. Click on “Rotation Settings,” select “Rotary,” enable “Enable Rotary” and “Mirror Output to Rotary,” set 119 mm per rotation, and input the object diameter according to the actual diameter of the item, then click “OK.”
Import or draw the engraving design.
Set the engraving parameters (engraving speed and line spacing vary depending on the laser wattage: for 2.5W/3.5W lasers, use 500 mm/min with 0.05 mm spacing; for 5.5W/10W lasers, use 1000 mm/min with 0.1 mm spacing). You can adjust the engraving speed slightly to achieve the best results.
Click the “Start Position” at the bottom right, and from the dropdown, select “Current Position.” Click “Frame” to check if the laser is aligned with the intended engraving area. If it’s not, you can adjust the laser position in the “Move” interface (note: it’s best not to move it manually, as this may cause the laser’s current position to mismatch the actual position, triggering a soft limit alarm). Click “Start” and wait for the engraving to complete.

5. After engraving, remove the glass, scrape off the excess colored paper with a spatula, and then clean it with alcohol. The glass engraving is now complete.
