Coupling Replacement for Nano

The coupling is a critical component in the Nano system that connects moving parts and ensures stable power transmission. Over time, wear or mechanical stress may lead to reduced performance, abnormal movement, or loss of precision. Replacing a worn or damaged coupling helps restore smooth motion and maintain engraving accuracy.

Replacement Procedure

1. Remove the L-shaped Support Bracket

Turn the hand-tightened nut counterclockwise to remove the L-shaped support bracket.

This step provides access to the internal structure of the column.

2. Remove the Column Housing

  1. Use a hex wrench to remove the 12 screws on the inner and outer sides of the column.
  2. Remove the positioning plate and column cover to take out the column housing.

This exposes the internal transmission and motion components.

3. Remove the Old Coupling

  1. Use a hex wrench to remove the 2 screws fixing the coupling and the 8 screws at the front and back of the slider.
  2. Once the connected moving parts are loosened, the coupling can be removed.

Ensure that surrounding components are handled carefully to avoid misalignment or damage.

4. Install the New Coupling

  1. Place the new coupling in its original position.
  2. Use screws to secure the coupling to the slider.

Make sure the coupling is properly aligned and firmly fixed to ensure stable motion transmission.

5. Reassemble the Column Housing

Place the column housing, positioning plate, and column cover back in order and secure them with screws using a hex wrench.

Ensure all screws are tightened evenly to maintain structural stability.

6. Reinstall the L-shaped Support Bracket

Reattach the L-shaped support bracket and secure it by tightening the hand-tightened nut.

Conclusion

Replacing the coupling is an important maintenance procedure that ensures stable mechanical transmission and consistent engraving performance. A properly installed coupling reduces vibration, improves motion accuracy, and prevents further mechanical issues.

By following the correct disassembly and reassembly steps, users can safely complete the replacement process and restore the Nano system to optimal working condition. Regular inspection of key components is recommended to maintain long-term reliability and performance.
