The Longer Ray5 desktop laser engraver offers multiple control options for your engraving projects. One convenient method is to use the TF card in offline mode, allowing you to run engraving tasks without connecting the machine to a computer. This mode is ideal for workshops, makerspaces, or portable setups where a PC connection may not be practical.
First, design your engraving pattern in software such as LightBurn. Once your design is ready, export it as a G-code file in .gc or .nc format. Save this file directly to your TF card.
Insert the TF card into the Ray5 control box, then navigate to the File menu to view the list of files stored on the card. Select the G-code file you just saved to enter the engraving preparation interface.

Use the Frame function to confirm the engraving area, ensuring it aligns properly with your material. Once you are satisfied, click Engrave to start the offline engraving process. The machine will execute the job directly from the TF card, without needing a connected PC.
Using TF card offline mode on the Longer Ray5 desktop laser engraver is a convenient, efficient, and safe way to complete engraving projects without a computer connection. This mode improves workflow flexibility, supports consistent results, and enhances portability for creators, small businesses, and hobbyists.
