During laser engraving operations, the safe operation of the equipment directly affects the operator’s personal safety, the integrity of the workpiece, and the stability of the production environment. To fully mitigate potential risks, this laser engraver is equipped with two core safety features: a tilt alarm and a flame alarm. When either alarm is triggered, the machine immediately activates its shutdown protection mechanism, creating a comprehensive safety system to safeguard engraving operations.
For safe operation and engraving accuracy, the laser engraver must remain stable and level during use. The machine is equipped with a high-precision tilt sensor that continuously monitors the device’s angle. A preset safety tilt threshold is defined, and if the sensor detects that the device exceeds this angle, the tilt alarm is immediately activated. Once triggered, the system automatically cuts off the laser and halts all movements of the work platform, completely preventing further operation that could lead to safety incidents caused by tipping.
During laser engraving, the focused laser beam generates high temperatures that may ignite certain materials such as wood, plastic, or leather. If not detected and handled promptly, this can easily cause fires, resulting in damage to materials, equipment, and even endangering the entire production area.
To address this risk, the machine is equipped with a high-sensitivity flame detection device that can accurately detect flames within the engraving area. When a flame is detected, the flame alarm system responds immediately: the laser is instantly shut off to stop output and prevent the high temperature from worsening the fire, while the engraving work platform is also stopped to ensure full safety.
