LONGER How to: Install and Setup the new Longer Ray5 Mini

Longer Ray5 Mini is a new Longer Laser Engraver, characterized by compact dimensions and an affordable price. It is ideal for all those who want to approach the world of Laser Engravers, and is equipped with a 2.5W or 3.5W laser module, depending on the user's preferences. The compact size allows a high portability of the machine, thus being able to carry out work outside the home with little effort, while the power of the laser module allows you to carry out work quickly. 

The installation of Longer Ray5 Mini is very simple, as it is already almost totally pre-assembled at the factory; You only need to install the laser module and check the solidity of the connections, and then everything will be ready for use.

1) As first, remove the contents of the Longer Ray5 Mini package, as shown in the figure.

2) Now, install the 2.5W/3.5W Laser Module using the thumb screw, then connect its cable. Make sure that everything has been connected correctly and stably.

3) Carefully check that all connections made from the factory are stable and that all connectors are well connected to each other.

4) Check that the X & Y axes do not have abnormal movements, such as movements under stress or too slow. In these cases, finely adjust the eccentric nuts.

5) Connect the power cord and rotate the emergency switch, then set the switch to ON.

6) Using the supplied Focusing Distancer, adjust the Focus of the Laser Module as shown in the figure.

7) At this point, the installation of Longer Ray5 Mini has been completed successfully. On Lightburn, set the coordinates system to Absolute Coordinates.

8) Finally, set up an image in Lightburn or make a new design, then set the correct engraving parameters for your laser module, and proceed with laser engraving.

9) Enjoy the result, and have fun making multiple creations with your new Longer Ray5 Mini!
