1. Start

Once the design is ready, simply press "Start" to start an engraving job, however pressing this button is not always intentional, so sometimes there may be inconveniences. 

2. Confirmation Prompt

In these cases, the engraving work starts immediately, even if you are not yet ready, such as when the material has not yet been positioned correctly or the protective goggles have not yet been worn. This represents a major problem in terms of efficiency and safety, however there is a way to avoid these unpleasant inconveniences by adding a confirmation before the start of the engraving work. 
To add a confirmation before the engraving job begins, click on "Edit" in the Lightburn menu select "Device Settings". 

3. Enable Job Checklist

On the new screen, select “Enable Job Checklist”, then click “Edit” on the side. 

4. Custom Confirmation Message

A Job Checklist window will open; here it is possible to enter any custom message, which will be shown every time the Start button is pressed. For example, to get a double confirmation before starting the engraving job, you can enter a message such as "Ready?". Once the message has been set correctly, click "OK" to confirm. 

5. Confirmation Before Starting

At this point everything is ready: every time the "Start" button is pressed, Lightburn will no longer start the engraving job, but will first show a confirmation reminder. Pressing "Yes" will start the engraving job immediately, but if the Start button has been pressed inadvertently, just press "No" to cancel.
